Data protection

Data protection

Based on Article 13 of the Swiss Federal Constitution and the data protection provisions of the Confederation (Data Protection Act, DPA), every person has the right to protection of their privacy and protection against misuse of their personal data. We comply with these provisions. Personal data is treated with strict confidentiality and is neither sold nor passed on to third parties. In close cooperation with our hosting providers, we strive to protect the databases as best as possible from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or falsification. When accessing our websites, the following data is stored in log files: IP address, date, time, browser request, and general transmitted information about the operating system or browser. This usage data forms the basis for statistical, anonymous evaluations, allowing trends to be identified, which we can then use to improve our offerings accordingly.

Privacy Policy for the Use of Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies,” which are text files placed on your computer that enable an analysis of your use of the website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. However, if IP anonymization is activated on this website, your IP address will be truncated by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area.

Processing of Personal Data

Personal data refers to all information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person. A data subject is a natural person whose personal data is processed. Processing includes any handling of personal data, regardless of the means and procedures used, in particular the storage, disclosure, acquisition, deletion, retention, alteration, destruction, and use of personal data.

We process personal data in accordance with Swiss data protection law. Insofar as the EU GDPR is applicable, we also process personal data on the following legal bases in conjunction with Art. 6 (1) GDPR:
lit. a) Processing of personal data with the consent of the data subject.
lit. b) Processing of personal data for the fulfillment of a contract with the data subject and for the implementation of corresponding pre-contractual measures.
lit. c) Processing of personal data for the fulfillment of a legal obligation to which we are subject under applicable EU law or under the applicable law of a country in which the GDPR is wholly or partially applicable.
lit. d) Processing of personal data to protect the vital interests of the data subject or another natural person.
lit. f) Processing of personal data to protect the legitimate interests of us or third parties, unless the fundamental freedoms and rights and interests of the data subject prevail. Legitimate interests include, in particular, our business interest in being able to provide our website, information security, the enforcement of our own legal claims, and compliance with Swiss law.

We process personal data for the period necessary for the respective purpose or purposes. In the case of longer-term retention obligations due to legal and other obligations to which we are subject, we restrict processing accordingly.

Cookies

This website uses cookies. These are small text files that allow specific, user-related information to be stored on the user’s device while the user is using the website. In particular, cookies enable us to determine the frequency of use and the number of users of the pages, analyze website usage patterns, and also to make our offerings more user-friendly. Cookies remain stored beyond the end of a browser session and can be retrieved again when you revisit the site. If you do not wish this, you should set your internet browser to refuse the acceptance of cookies.

A general objection to the use of cookies for online marketing purposes can be declared for a variety of services, especially for tracking, via the US site http://www.aboutads.info/choices/ or the EU site http://www.youronlinechoices.com/. Furthermore, the storage of cookies can be prevented by deactivating them in the browser settings. Please note that in this case, not all functions of this online offering may be fully usable.

If SSL or TLS encryption is activated, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.

Server Log Files

The provider of this website automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These include:

This data cannot be assigned to specific persons. This data is not merged with other data sources. We reserve the right to subsequently check this data if we become aware of concrete indications of illegal use.

Third-Party Services

This website may use Google Maps for embedding maps, Google Invisible reCAPTCHA for protection against bots and spam, and YouTube for embedding videos.

Google has committed to ensuring adequate data protection in accordance with the US-European and US-Swiss Privacy Shield.

Google Maps

This website uses the Google Maps offering. This allows us to display interactive maps directly on the website and enable you to use the map function conveniently. By visiting the website, Google receives the information that you have accessed the corresponding subpage of our website. This occurs regardless of whether Google provides a user account through which you are logged in, or if no user account exists.

If you are logged in to Google, your data will be directly associated with your account. If you do not wish for this association with your Google profile, you must log out before activating the button. Google stores your data as usage profiles and uses them for purposes of advertising, market research, and/or needs-based design of its website.

Such an evaluation is carried out in particular (also for users not logged in) for the provision of needs-based advertising and to inform other users of the social network about your activities on our website.

You have the right to object to the creation of these user profiles, for which you must contact Google to exercise this right. Further information on the purpose and scope of data collection and processing by Google, as well as further information on your rights in this regard and setting options for protecting your privacy, can be found at: www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy.

Google Ads

This website uses Google Conversion Tracking. If you have reached our website via an advertisement placed by Google, Google Ads will set a cookie on your computer. The conversion tracking cookie is set when a user clicks on an ad placed by Google.

These cookies expire after 30 days and are not used for personal identification. If the user visits certain pages of our website and the cookie has not yet expired, we and Google can recognize that the user clicked on the ad and was redirected to this page.

Each Google Ads customer receives a different cookie. Therefore, cookies cannot be tracked across the websites of Ads customers. The information obtained using the conversion cookie is used to create conversion statistics for Ads customers who have opted in to conversion tracking. Customers see the total number of users who clicked on their ad and were redirected to a page with a conversion tracking tag. However, they do not receive any information that can be used to personally identify users.

If you do not wish to participate in tracking, you can refuse the setting of a cookie required for this purpose – for example, by means of a browser setting that generally deactivates the automatic setting of cookies, or by setting your browser so that cookies from the domain “googleleadservices.com” are blocked.

Please note that you must not delete the opt-out cookies as long as you do not want measurement data to be recorded. If you have deleted all your cookies in the browser, you must set the respective opt-out cookie again.

Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited. If the controller for data processing on this website is located outside the European Economic Area or Switzerland, the data processing of Google Analytics is carried out by Google LLC. Google LLC and Google Ireland Limited are hereinafter referred to as “Google.”

The statistics obtained enable us to improve our offer and make it more interesting for you as a user. This website also uses Google Analytics for a cross-device analysis of visitor flows, which is carried out via a user ID. If you have a Google user account, you can deactivate the cross-device analysis of your usage in the settings there under “My data”, “Personal data”.

The legal basis for the use of Google Analytics is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR. The IP address transmitted by your browser within the scope of Google Analytics is not merged with other data from Google. We would like to point out that on this website Google Analytics has been extended by the code “_anonymizeIp();” to ensure anonymized collection of IP addresses. This means that IP addresses are processed in a shortened form, so that they cannot be associated with a specific person. Should the data collected about you be attributable to a person, this will be excluded immediately and the personal data will be deleted immediately.

Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide other services relating to website activity and internet usage to the website operator. For the exceptional cases in which personal data is transferred to the USA, Google has submitted to the EU-US Privacy Shield, https://www.privacyshield.gov/EU-US-Framework.

Google Analytics uses cookies. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. You can prevent the storage of cookies by setting your browser software accordingly; however, we would like to point out that in this case you may not be able to use all functions of this website to their full extent. You can also prevent Google from collecting the data generated by the cookie and relating to your use of the website (including your IP address) and from processing this data by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available under the following link: Deactivate Google Analytics.

In addition, you can also prevent the use of Google Analytics by clicking on this link: Deactivate Google Analytics. This will store a so-called opt-out cookie on your data carrier, which prevents the processing of personal data by Google Analytics. Please note that when you delete all cookies on your device, these opt-out cookies will also be deleted, i.e. you must set the opt-out cookies again if you want to continue to prevent this form of data collection. The opt-out cookies are set per browser and computer/device and must therefore be activated separately for each browser, computer or other device.

Data transfer to the USA

Our website includes tools from companies based in the USA. When these tools are active, your personal data may be transferred to the US servers of the respective companies.

We would like to point out that the USA is not a safe third country within the meaning of EU data protection law. US companies are obliged to hand over personal data to security authorities without you as the data subject being able to take legal action against this.

It cannot therefore be ruled out that US authorities (e.g. intelligence services) process, evaluate and permanently store your data located on US servers for monitoring purposes. We have no influence on these processing operations.
